Borrowing in SMSF

Many people are drawn toward SMSF because of their preference for investing in property. An SMSF Trustee may borrow money to purchase residential, or commercial, real estate in the SMSF.

The greatest advantage of investing in property in an SMSF is that the capital gain created when a property is sold, can be tax free if the property is sold after the members retire.

When borrowing in an SMSF there are additional structures that need to be included in the SMSF. Our advisors have created the necessary structures in the past and have the experience and relationships with several banks to successfully achieve the desired outcome.
